I have loved the fall this year. It is my favorite Season of all. And now that Thanksgiving is over I’m so sad that Fall is Over and Winter is Here. It is snowing outside. And I have to start taking down all my beautiful fall decorations. And that makes me sad.
Mostly because now I have 12 bins of Christmas to get out of the storage room and trade out all of my fall oranges and browns for winter red and green decor.
I want to get a new Christmas tree and I still haven’t found the deal I want. Costco has a pretty one for $300 bucks that is lighted in both multi-color and white little bulbs. But the hubs said that was a lot of money. Well, yeah, it is. But ya get what ya pay for too. I have had a scrawny 6 foot tree from Smiths Grocery store for 10 years. It is time to upgrade man!
I have had a lot of fun with my grandkiddos this month too. I took my little grandson and kept just him overnight a few nights ago. We played together. He rubbed lotion on my feet (he loves to do that) and we ate lots of fun healthy snacks and watched Curious George together.
At bedtime, Dylan climbed in my bed and fell right to sleep, not a whimper. When we met my daughter at the mall to brave the hoards of people lookin for a Black Friday deal, he didn’t want to leave us. He started crying when it was time to put him in the carseat to go back home.
That was just the sweetest thing. So grandpa took him out and brought him back to my car for a kiss. And he scrambled over me to try and get into my front seat. He thinks he is in charge sometimes. Haha. So sweet! We sure love our only grandson. He is such a treat to hang out with.
Well, I am starting to decorate for Christmas today. It is around 30 degrees outside and it snowed last night so the front yard looks like winter has arrived fo sho! And Even though I hate putting away fall, I’m kinda lookin’ forward to the next holiday. It’s a good one too. Goodbye fall, hello winter.
It’s gonna take a week to decorate it all up. I just know it.
